The distributor of wireless devices has completed its purchase of a 533,000-square-foot facility in the AllPoints Midwest business park in Plainfield and is leasing another 200,000-square-foot building, also in Plainfield.
Financial considerations were not disclosed.
In addition, Brightpoint is under contract to purchase a 264,000-square-foot facility in Reno, Nev.
The addition of the warehouses will prompt the company to transfer operations from its Airwest facility in Plainfield, which it will vacate on July 31.
Brightpoint is investing in the facilities in response to the company’s expected growth and anticipated need for increased capacity to serve customers, the company said in a press release.
