side of Indianapolis.
Tony George was CEO of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway before his ouster in June. He and
Laura also own Vision Racing, an Indy Racing League team.
“They’re just trying to downsize at
this point,” said Heather Carpenter, a daughter-in-law who is handling the property. She said the last of three children
went off to college this fall, causing the Georges to consider moving to a smaller home.
A for-sale sign went
up in front of the property Friday.
Carpenter would not divulge how much the Georges are asking for the property,
which has not yet been formally listed, but said it is “definitely under $10 million.” The property features a
14,000-square-foot main residence, as well as a cottage, horse barn and pond.
