The Bensalem, Pa.-based company said it will make a multi-million-dollar investment over the next two years to renovate and install new equipment in its existing 794,000-square-foot Greencastle facility. The facility is about 50 miles west of Indianapolis, in Putnam County.
The distribution center, known as "FB Distro," services the company's Lane Bryant, Lane Bryant Outlet and Cacique retail stores. The center, purchased by Charming Shoppes in 1987, employs 195 people and services more than 800 retail stores.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered FB Distro Distribution Center LLC, a subsidiary of Charming Shoppes, up to $1,140,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $73,600 in training grants based on the company's job-creation plans. The tax credits are performance-based. The city of Greencastle will consider additional property-tax abatement.
