Central Library serves as backdrop for Women of Influence photo shoot
This year’s Women of Influence photo shoot was held at Indianapolis Public Library’s Central Library. IBJ Managing Editor Samm Quinn and photographer Eric Learned used the library’s Simon Reading Room, the atrium and the Center for Black Literature & Culture as backgrounds for photos. Central Library opened on St. Clair Street in October 1917. The original 1917 structure, designed by Paul Philippe Cret, stands today. A major expansion in 2007 added a glass-encased atrium that connects the original structure to a six-story addition. This year’s cover features Dina Cox, managing partner at Lewis Wagner LLP; Paula Moan, market president for Stock Yards Bank & Trust; Sarah Myer, chief of staff and strategy for Indiana Sports Corp.; Lori White, DePauw University president, and Tamara Winfrey-Harris, president of Women’s Fund of Central Indiana.•
