Sandra is the daughter of Sidney and Lois Eskenazi, the couple who provided a $40 million gift to the Eskenazi Health Capital Campaign and for whom the Eskenazi Health system is named.
The $5 million donation will go toward a $50 million fundraising campaign Eskenazi Health announced this month as part of an audacious bid to extend its mental health services around the nation and even around the world.
“I am so honored to follow my parents’ legacy in helping serve not only our community but the rest of the world in support of this groundbreaking new center,” said Sandra Eskenazi.
The brain center will combine the staffs of Eskenazi’s existing efforts to treat dementia and psychosis, and use telemedicine and a digital avatar to reach as many as 150,000 Hoosiers and 10 million patients outside Indiana by 2030.
