Morgan is the first black lawyer to lead the ISBA, but he said in a prepared statement that he hopes he is not the last.
“Our
efforts toward inclusiveness and diversity are essential to our growth,” he said.
Morgan leads Bingham
McHale’s diversified business solutions practice and is a retired Army judge advocate general who also served as a legal
adviser to political and military leaders.
The ISBA has more than 12,000 members and is the state’s largest
legal organization.
