Maureen Weber
Bio
Maureen Weber is president and chief executive officer of Early Learning Indiana where she leads a team relentlessly focused on transforming the early learning industry in Indiana and beyond. Under her leadership, Early Learning Indiana has attracted over $200 million to address systemic barriers to accessible, affordable and high-quality early education; improve learning outcomes for young Hoosiers; and operate a network of high-quality early learning centers that serve more than 1,000 children daily.
With a background in organizational strategy and execution, Weber has spent her career working across multiple sectors to improve the way organizations meet the needs of the individuals they serve. She has held leadership roles at both national and statewide not-for-profit organizations, including Indiana University Health and Project Lead The Way. She has also held key public service roles, including chief operating officer for the Indiana Department of Education, deputy commissioner for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and head of strategy and operations responsible for shepherding an award-winning customer service agenda for Indiana’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
In 2022, Governor Holcomb appointed Weber to chair Indiana’s Early Learning Advisory Committee. She previously chaired Indiana’s Charter School Board. She was the founding chair of the board of Purdue Polytechnic High Schools and currently serves on the executive committee of the Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation board.
Weber earned her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Weber is a long-time resident of Indianapolis’ northside where she lives with her husband and two children.

Bio
Lesley Weidenbener is the editor of the Indianapolis Business Journal and Inside INdiana Business and assistant publisher of IBJ and the Indiana Lawyer. She oversees a staff of 20 reporters, editors and designers. She joined IBJ in 2015 as managing editor after more than 20 years covering government and politics for The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Indiana; The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky; and TheStatehouseFile.com at Franklin College in Indiana, where she was editor and led a staff of student journalists. She started her career at The Independent Mail in Anderson, South Carolina, where she covered state and local government.
