◗ The first mayoral debate at HobNob 2019, featuring Democrat Joe Hogsett and Republican Jim Merritt, in partnership with the Indy Chamber, Aug. 29, at the Crowne Plaza, starting at 5:30 p.m. Don’t miss this one! Moderating will be IBJ city government reporter Hayleigh Colombo.
◗ Commercial Real Estate/Construction—IBJ Power Breakfast Series, Sept. 12, at the JW Marriott. A panel of six industry experts will participate in a discussion moderated by IBJ real estate reporter Mickey Shuey.
◗ Hunger and Health–Time for Creative Intervention, presented in partnership with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Sept. 19, at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. Moderated by IBJ Managing Editor Lesley Weidenbener, this event convenes bright minds and dedicated community leaders to discuss the urgency of hunger and related health issues.
◗ Health Care/Benefits–IBJ Power Breakfast Series, Sept. 26, at the JW Marriott. Industry experts will participate in a discussion moderated by IBJ health care reporter John Russell. Hear about the health care trends we should be watching.
◗ Women of Influence, Oct. 31, at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. IBJ spotlights some of the city’s most successful, public- and private-sector women while revealing the triumphs and challenges that have shaped their careers.
◗ Defense in Indiana, presented in partnership with the Indiana Economic Development Corp., Nov. 8, at the JW Marriott. Indiana’s defense and national security industries are not only helping keep America safe in the 21st century, they’re also strengthening our national economy with ground-breaking technologies that are providing the jobs of tomorrow. Join a robust discussion about Indiana’s critical role in our nation’s defense and security.
◗ Economic Forecast 2020, presented in partnership with Fifth Third Bank, Nov. 15, at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. Fifth Third Chief Investment Strategist Jeff Korzenik will present the latest update on financial markets and the economy and will let us know what to expect next year and beyond.
◗ Engage Indiana–Business as a Force for Good, presented in partnership with the Indiana Economic Development Corp., Dec. 6, at the JW Marriott. This event convenes Indiana’s CEOs, other C-suite executives, community leaders and business professionals on how companies should engage to ensure that our cities are looking beyond the short term and how companies can take an active role to make an impact on how we think and how we create cities of the future in Indiana.
◗ CFO of the Year, Dec. 11, at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown. The CFO of the Year awards honor outstanding Indiana financial executives. There’s still time to nominate a CFO before the Sept. 20 deadline, at www.ibj.com/cfo-nominations.
