The head of the Indiana Department of Workforce Development is leaving state government at the end of May after more than
two years leading the employment agency.
Gov. Mitch Daniels' office announced the departure of Commissioner Teresa Voors on Friday.
The governor's office says Voors has decided "to pursue opportunities outside of state government."
Replacing Voors will be Mark W. Everson, who's been commissioner of the Indiana Department of Administration since January
2009. Deputy Commissioner Robert Wynkoop will be promoted to head the administration agency.
Voors has served in the Daniels administration since 2005, including stints as chief counsel and deputy commissioner of strategic
planning and policy at the Department of Workforce Development.
