Subscribe NowGood article [by Mickey Maurer in the May 31 issue], and good points, but consider the education demographics in our state, and in central Indiana. There are plenty of parents who don’t have a high school diploma, or didn’t attend secondary education, for all kinds of reasons. We don’t have an especially high value for education as a collective, and that parents (and elected politicians, including [Gov. Mitch] Daniels) don’t have the will/desire to change, that shouldn’t be terribly surprising.
