Engineered Plastic Components said in a letter to state officials that it would close the former Innatech plastics factory
in Richmond by mid-August. The Grinnell, Iowa-based company bought the factory in May from Michigan-based Innatech, which
had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection two months earlier.
The company said in its state filing that it expected the Richmond plant closing to be permanent.
