A subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Nash Finch Co. has told Bloomington city officials that it plans to spend $5.6 million
on equipment and repairs to the warehouse that distributor North Star Food Service of Indiana closed last year.
The company says work on the building would begin this fall and be completed by February.
Monroe County Council president Geoff McKim says he's glad the vacant building is being put back into productive use.
The company said the Bloomington warehouse will enable it to serve new customers.
