A man was killed by a train just before 5 a.m. Thursday in Anderson near the 1600 block of Jefferson Street. The engineer
of a Union Pacific train told police the man was lying inside the railroad tracks, and he blew the train's whistle several
times, but the man did not respond. The man has been identified, but his name was not released.
