They don’t like government to tell them how to run their businesses. They hate it when government meddles with their supply lines, labor contracts or production processes, or interferes with their clients. So when has bullying and insulting your business partner become an acceptable way to seal a business deal? When has it been OK for government or a president to restrict work visas and international workers needed to make up for labor shortfalls in industries like meatpacking, hospitality, construction and landscaping? When has it been acceptable for a president to tell you where you can and cannot do business, and what you can and cannot build? When have Hoosiers agreed to being told that tariffs, or higher prices, for your tractor parts, trucks, machinery, washing machines, or metals for beer cans and firearms are a good thing? None of these actions or policies are good for Indiana businesses or citizens. Speak up and speak out to our government representatives before further damage is done to our economy.
