Remy begins his new job March 14 and will replace Scott Bearby, who had been serving as interim general counsel and managing director of legal affairs for the college sports association based in Indianapolis.
As a lawyer in Washington, Remy has represented individuals and corporate clients in international business litigation, worked on civil litigation and assisted companies in disputes with the federal government.
He also has been deputy assistant attorney general at the Justice Department, assistant to the general counsel of the Army, law clerk to the 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and senior vice president, deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer at Fannie Mae.
