Subscribe NowChurchill Downs, racetrack home of the Kentucky Derby, has signed a three-year deal with Indianapolis-based MainGate Inc. in which MainGate provides licensed Derby merchandise, handles official off-site retail locations and launches a new e-commerce website.
On Jan. 1, MainGate launched KentuckDerbyStore.com, which will offer a large selection of apparel, headwear, artwork, party supplies and collectible items. The firm continues to expand the Derby’s official merchandise line, and plans to open multiple off-site retail locations in hotels throughout Louisville, Ky., the week leading up to the Kentucky Derby, scheduled this year for May 7.

MainGate makrd and sells licensed goods for a bevy of big-name sports properties, including the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins, Houston Rockets, New Jersey Nets, Indy Racing League, National Hot Rod Association, Danica Patrick and others.
