As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowBase HQ Inc., a portfolio start-up of Indianapolis-based venture studio High Alpha, has raised $2.6 million in seed funding, the company announced Thursday.
The Greenville, South Carolina-based firm, founded in April, markets a software-as-service platform that helps executive assistants with communications and management of day-to-day operations.
The funding round was led by Minneapolis-based Matchstick Ventures with participation from Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, High Alpha Capital and Slack Fund.
Base’s executive team, including CEO Paige McPheely, is based in South Carolina.
The company has eight employees, including one in Indianapolis, but expects to make more hires in Indiana as it ramps up employment.
High Alpha, founded by local tech entrepreneurs, has launched or backed more than a dozen portfolio firms. Its companies include Sigstr, Zylo, Lessonly and Doxly.
