The Indiana State Department of Health says the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released the report Wednesday ranking the health of Indiana's 92 counties. The report used a formula to measure how healthy people are and how long they live.
The report says the 10 healthiest counties in Indiana are Hamilton, Dubois, Boone, LaGrange, Hendricks, Warrick, DeKalb, Wells, Whitley and Marshall.
The county with the poorest health outcomes was Scott, followed by Starke, Pike, Switzerland, Fayette, Sullivan, Martin, Jennings, Lake and Jay.
Marion County was ranked 77th, just ahead of Shelby County at 78yh. Madison County ranked 75th. Johnson County ranked 11th.
