Your article is in juxtaposition to two [recent] items in USA Today, one being Bud Selig’s $17.3 million salary, the other the lack of response to the Gridirons Greats Assistance Fund by all but 15 of today’s players.
A recent call by a columnist for golfers to give up 10 percent of their winnings to charitable causes likewise went "unnoticed" by the players or Tim Finchem while on the tour’s private jet coming back from Hawaii. All level of sports, as you suggest, just don’t—and won’t—get it .
