Bed Techs Inc. announced Tuesday it would spend about $7.2 million on the facility in the Dearborn County city of Aurora. That will allow it consolidate existing operations in Aurora and the nearby town of Milan.
The company said it now has 50 workers who repair and remanufacture hospital beds and bed parts made by Batesville-based Hill-Rom. It plans to hire 25 more workers by the end of this year.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. said the Bed Techs expansion is being helped by a grant from the casino-supported Lawrenceburg Regional Economic Development Grant Fund.
