New graduates don’t want to work in rural areas, neither do pricy specialists. Gut less attractive and less profitable areas, and people will have to move. Nursing homes will have to close too. Russia and China are the biggest buyers of our farmland this and last year; this may have also been part of their plan. Simply ship raw materials out of the country and turn them into what you/they need over there and you have reduced the costs by 40% to 50% We are left with foreign owned farms and half the food production we are enjoying today. We the people, are responsible for allowing the Government to run most of the Health System by continuing to vote them into office; soon they will control 100% We are idiots for believing them. You get what you vote for.
This just expedites the ability for bigger health systems to buy up rural facilities on the cheap. Big hospitals make big money….even during a crisis.
