  1. Correction, the 600-a-week unemployment supplement was not extended because the Senate blocked it. Congress submitted a plan, but politics blocked it.

Indiana opted out of paying $100 to supplement unemployment, and expects the Federal Government, Trump, to supply the only unemployment supplement for Indiana residents who don’t know where there next meal is coming from. Trump doesn’t care, he wants them back to work whether they can find a job or not. Shameful.

    1. Lorna, the story is accurate. Congress is made up of the House and the Senate. The House passed a plan, but the Senate didn’t approve it.

    2. Take politics out of it. Paying someone more to stay home to work is not smart business. Also, who is going to pay for this extra money? that’s right, you and me.

  2. Story is accurate. Smart move by the President. Not surprised Indiana opted out of the $100 extra. A program paying people more to stay unemployed than get back to work has been traumatic issue for small business owners. Further, giving $3400 a family for many who didn’t lose their jobs has another flaw. This confirms how career politicians and Congress on both sides don’t care about constituents, only special interest projects, power and control. Never waste a “politically created crisis” Nancy!
