Hall Render Killian Heath & Lyman again is ranked as the second-largest health care law firm in the nation by Modern Healthcare magazine.

The Indianapolis-based law firm has held the rank the past three years and has been listed among the top-five health care law firms since 2004.

Modern Healthcare ranks firms based on total membership in the American Health Lawyers Association.

With 247 members, Atlanta-based King & Spalding is the nation’s largest health care law firm.

Through 2010, Hall Render had 91 local lawyers, ranking it as the city’s seventh-largest firm, according to IBJ statistics. Nationally, it had 158 attorneys in Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Louisville and Troy, Mich.

Hall Render has focused its practice on health care law since its founding in 1967.
