The state also reported the testing of 9,085 more individuals, the seventh time in eight days that testing has exceeded 9,000. The state’s cumulative positivity rate for unique individuals remained at 8.8%.
The department also reported 13 more deaths from COVID-19, bringing the cumulative total during the pandemic to 3,106.

How do we know these are actual numbers? The hospitals get paid for every person tested and diagnosed. How do we know they weren’t tested and/or diagnosed with a different ailment but listed is as Covid to get the money?
