  1. TWG and others seem to get whatever they want from the taxpayers under the guise of of “poor us”. We really would like to help… but. They have profited quite a bit from past projects supported by taxpayers. Don’t let the TIF funding fool you.

  2. Scotty – I’m guessing from your comments the last couple of days that you have a real problem with affordable housing and real estate developers in general. Why so mad? Not sure how old you are, but take a time machine back to Indianapolis in 1980 and it wasn’t pretty and I doubt you would prefer that it still be the same way. No one is stopping you from moving to the hinterlands!

  3. Not with affordable housing, just developers that keep using a system that provides them with funding using tax dollars, especially property tax funds. The old “move if you don’t like it” ploy. They keep expanding TIF districts which sucks dollars from the general fund, which finances this fine city. It will soon be the average home owner making up the difference with increased property taxes to fund the shortfall. On second thought, it already is.
