Subscribe NowThe Indiana State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 1,766 new COVID-19 cases, the 13th time in 14 days that new cases have exceeded 1,500. The department said the seven-day moving average for cases was 1,885.
The state reported 15 new deaths due to COVID-19, the smallest increase in deaths in the daily report since Oct. 14.
Newly reported deaths have been in double digits 14 times over the past 16 days.
Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 were 1,484 as of Tuesday, up from 1,425 on Sunday. The latest number was the highest since May 5.
The department reported the testing of 9,385 more unique individuals. The state’s seven-day positivity rate for unique individuals rose from 12.4% to 12.7%.
