Mitch Daniels says he doesn't plan to talk about the three-day boycott by Indiana House Democrats when he gives his State of the State speech before the General Assembly Tuesday night.
This will be Daniels' eighth and final State of the State speech, but he says he won't be giving an overview of his time as governor.
He says he'll talk during his speech about the right-to-work bill that prompted the Democratic walkout. He publicly endorsed the proposal last month.
The AFL-CIO is planning a Statehouse rally in conjunction with Daniels' speech.
The right-to-work bill would prohibit contracts between companies and unions that require nonmembers to pay union representation fees. Supporters say such a law will help attract businesses, while opponents say it's a political attack on unions.
