The Chicago-based bus line will offer two daily departures to Nashville from the IndyGo bus shelter at 200 E. Washington St.
Megabus is a subsidiary of Coach USA and is one of the nation’s largest intercity express bus providers.
Its current destinations from Indianapolis are Chicago, Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio. Those routes virtually compete with air travel, which takes about as much time after figuring in early arrival time at the airport.
Nashville will be the longest Megabus route from Indianapolis, however.
From Nashville, the bus offers connections to Chattanooga and Atlanta.
Megabus typically uses double-decker vehicles offering free Wi-Fi and power outlets.
