The state also reported 65 new deaths due to the coronavirus, the highest number since Jan. 26. Reported deaths due to COVID-19 have exceeded single digits in 113 of the past 114 days.
The department said 5,520 new individuals were tested Monday in Indiana, the lowest number since Jan. 26.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 ticked up from 1,594 on Sunday to 1,624 on Monday, the second straight day of increases. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 155,000 Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as Tuesday at 5 a.m. More than 586,000 had received the first dose of a vaccination.
