The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana was 918 on Monday, up from 744 two weeks ago.
Indiana also reported the deaths of 10 more people from COVID-19, raising the cumulative number to 12,632.
The department reported the testing of 3,271 new individuals.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dipped from 655 on Sunday to 621 on Tuesday. The high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The state said more than 1.1 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Tuesday at 5 a.m. More than 1.6 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
