The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana rose from 981 on Sunday to 997 on Monday—up slightly from 985 at the beginning of the month.
The state reported 13 new deaths from COVID-19, increasing the cumulative total to 12,883.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 jumped from 893 on Sunday to 955 on Monday. Hospitalizations have risen 37% since April 1. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 3,432 new individuals.
The state said more than 1.76 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Tuesday at 5 a.m. More than 2.3 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
