Subscribe NowThe pool at Broad Ripple Park opened in 1908 as an attraction at the White City Amusement Park, which had opened two years earlier at the northeast corner of Broad Ripple Village. The four-acre concrete swimming pool was the only attraction to survive a fire that burned the amusement park to the ground on June 26, 1908. The pool hosted the Olympic trials in 1924 and again in 1952. Today, it’s owned by the Indy Parks Department and still hosts swimmers every summer.
