Students robbed at east-side bus stops-WEB ONLY

Several students were robbed at gunpoint this morning as they waited for school buses at three east-side stops. The incidents occurred between 6:40 a.m. and 6:59 a.m. A 16-year-old reported being held up at a stop near East 42nd Street and North Ridgeview Drive in Lawrence, then robberies were reported on East 39th Street near North Bolton Avenue and in the 4000 block of North Audubon Road. Investigators are looking for three black men in a silver sedan with a temporary license plate. Police believe at least one of the men may be linked to a string of Payday Loans robberies.
