Hoosier Gasket Corp. received the Export Achievement Award from the U.S. Department of Commerce for its recent success in Eastern Europe and China.
The family-owned Indianapolis-based company makes high-value gaskets and seals for Columbus-based Cummins Inc. and other customers. In the last four years, the company has opened offices in St. Petersburg, Russia; the Netherlands; and Shanghai. The company has a second manufacturing plant in Ningbo, China.
Hoosier Gasket officials said they’re planning a third manufacturing plant/distribution center in Eastern Europe within a year.•
