The aviation supplier intends to use the $2 million office space to cut back on response times for service calls it receives from field representatives and customers on the military side of its business.
The 24-hour center began operating in late June and has about 30 employees, company representatives said during an Oct. 9 ribbon-cutting ceremony. The manufacturer will pull in another 20 employees before the center is fully staffed.
From Indianapolis, the support team will use the office to analyze data and use video scopes to inspect malfunctioning aircraft engines throughout the world. Service center staff can diagnose the issues and direct repairs made by on-site field representatives.
The call center is part of Rolls-Royce’s MissionCare incentive package, which supports C-130J, V-22, T-45 and Kiowa Warriors for all branches of the U.S. military.
