The Times of Munster reports that JClark Aviation CEO John Clark told airport authority board members Monday that the FAA is considering funding $16 million in eligible projects. He says the FAA found $8 million in projects were not eligible.
Clark, who departed under pressure early this year as Indianapolis Airport Authority CEO, says the money would be used for rail and other projects which were not anticipated when the airport's original request was filed.
The airport expansion plan calls for extending the 7,000-foot runway to 8,900 feet, moving a heavily trafficked rail line owned by Canadian National Railway, and work on two other rail lines.
