G3 Technology Partners, an Indianapolis-based business communications company, has been acquired by Eagan, Minn.-based ConvergeOne, the companies announced Tuesday.

G3 has 120 employees and is headquartered in the Precedent Office Park on the city's north side. The company designs, develops and manages voice and data systems.

ConvergeOne, a leading integrator of data and communications services, is parent company to several tech firms across the country, including Minnesota-based North American Communications Resource Inc., Boise, Idaho-based S1 IT Solutions, New York-based NorthPark Group and Cary, N.C.-based SimpliCTI.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The companies said G3 will become a branch office of ConvergeOne, and existing leadership and staff for both companies will remain in place.

G3 CEO Pete DiPaola, Chief Operating Officer Ray Hoffman and Chief Financial Officer Jim Heckman "will be staying with the organization and will continue responsibilities for G3-related operations," ConvergeOne said in a prepared statement.

The three executives have been part of G3's management team since 1986. The company got its start in 1969.

“The addition of G3 to ConvergeOne further expands our offerings, enabling us to continue to drive business growth while delivering optimum return on investment and the highest level of personalized service to our customers,” ConvergeOne CEO John McKenna said.
