The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is cutting ticket prices for this summer’s Allstate 400 at the Brickyard NASCAR race.
A limited number of seats in two sections of the backstretch will be sold for $45 each, a savings of $30.
Speedway President Joie Chitwood says track officials decided to cut the ticket prices because of the sagging economy and tire problems that marred last year’s race.
Chitwood wouldn’t say how many seats have been discounted for the July 26 race. All are at the end of the straightaway entering the third turn.
No price cuts are currently planned for the track’s other two races, the Indianapolis 500 and MotoGP, but Chitwood left open the possibility.
