Tax cuts, employer vaccine mandates and various social issues dominated the 2022 Indiana General Assembly.

But a divide between Republican leadership in the House and Senate—both chambers have Republican supermajorities—also set the tone.

Republican leaders were at odds over the highest-profile issues for almost the entirety of the two-month session, including on bills from the House that sought to restrict employer vaccine mandates and to offer broad tax cuts for businesses and individuals.

Here’s a look at how key issues were settled once the Legislature adjourned last week. In the end, 177 bills cleared the House and Senate to make it to the governor’s desk. Below is the status of key legislation, as of midday March 15.
