Add ten more floors and it’ll be good to go! It’s still cool now!!
Why do I get the impression that Micah works for the Otis Elevator Company?
hahaha
I agree with Micah D. what’s wrong with Indy and surrounding areas that they don’t like to build higher than 5-10 stories?Taller, sleek modern buildings just give a different feel to a city.
Agreed!
Market considerations for one. Cost being another.
I mean, I like height as much as the next guy, but a high rise building would be totally out of scale in this area. Downtown Fishers is NOT downtown Indianapolis.
Five floors is pretty stout and there are already other buildings in Downtown Fishers which are that height or taller. Seems fine to me.
Sadly, it would only be out of scale until they build the next 10 story building.
The real question is….. How many hotel rooms are in the area and how many could be filled? Is it enough for a 5 story building or a 10 story building? Or are we simply building a downtown hotel because Carmel has one.
If they’re going to honor the history of the rail line that passed by this site, the first thing they should know is that it’s called the Nickel Plate Road (not railroad).
How about a hotel operator knowing how many units they need and not building higher simply to placate those that feel less than?
Good for Carmel-Lite.
More traffic on congested 116th Street. Can’t believe it’s only 4 lanes.
