Indianapolis International Airport has been selected by Airports Council International as the best airport in North America for 2012.
The airport said Tuesday that it received the honor as part of the annual Airport Service Quality awards, which recognize the best airports in the world according to the council’s passenger satisfaction survey.
Airports Council International also named Indianapolis International Airport as the best airport in North America for 2010.
More than 275 airports around the world participate in the passenger satisfaction survey. The council created the awards in 2006.
