Director of Marketing and Outreach, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana

Arianna Cruz describes herself as “a young creative professional with a heart for helping the people of this world.” At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, she helps connect the organization with people in the community who want to get involved in some way. She is also the founder of MORE, a lifestyle magazine “for the people that want more for themselves, the people they love, and the world we live in.” (MORE stands for Make Opportunities Reachable for Everyone.) Cruz started her career at Long-Sharp Gallery as a gallery assistant and moved up to creative coordinator.

Proud moment in your career? “Mentoring is such an important piece in my life and in my role at BBBSCI. The magazine has a strong mentoring program through our internship, and our BBBS team has relationships that encourage dialogue and growth.”

What have you learned about yourself since you joined the workforce? “In whatever I do, my job needs to be part of what fills my cup. I don’t seek to find my worth through my productivity, but I do prefer to be in a role where I love what I do.”

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? “Being happy and serving others.”
