Both Littler Mendelson and Ogletree Deakins are national firms with a local presence that focus on labor and employment issues.

Besides helping to found Littler Mendelson’s local practice, Nierman served as its managing shareholder from 2006 until 2012.

His practice covers issues relating to the Family Medical Leave and National Labor Relations acts, in addition to employment discrimination, labor arbitrations, collective bargaining and union avoidance.

Ogletree Deakins has 650 lawyers spread across 44 offices nationwide. With 27 attorneys in Indianapolis, the firm ranks as the city’s 19th-largest, according to the most recent IBJ statistics.
