Davis Building Group will build custom, on-your-lot homes for clients, and purchase vacant homes and remodel them for sale, it said. The company also will offer remodeling services.
Davis Homes was one of the area’s leading home builders for almost a half-century before succumbing to the housing downturn and ceasing operations last year.
Davis said it was critical for his new business to offer services in addition to new-home construction.
“It is very important for us as an industry to focus on shoring up the existing housing market in order for the new housing market to return to a more active state,” Davis said in a prepared statement. “Many vacant homes are located in good neighborhoods and simply need a modest amount of renovation work to be attractive.”
Davis is partnering with former Davis executive Tony McLaughlin and Todd Roberts.
