Trussway Ltd., a Houston-based manufacturer of roof supports and other home-building supplies, plans to close its plant in Franklin, putting about 35 production, design and sales workers out of work.
Trussway corporate vice president David Neves told the Daily Journal of Johnson County that the plant would close within the next three to four months, but might reopen if the economy gets better.
The manufacturer’s business has taken a big hit from the slowdown in the housing market, Neves said.
