After being caucused in two years ago, Kyle Walker has repeatedly shown up, done the work and reflected the values and priorities of our city.
Kyle was the first Republican lawmaker to speak out publicly against a strict abortion ban this summer and to advocate for a balanced approach which mirrors residents’ views. He consistently voted against the bill that passed and in favor of more moderate language.
Walker has focused on issues that matter to the district, including funding schools, creating jobs, making our community safer and improving quality of life.
Kyle secured budget funding to support technology, innovation and entrepreneurial efforts at our Fishers-based Indiana Internet of Things Lab. He also passed economic development legislation to attract more sports, convention and tourism events and revenue to our region.
Kyle has led on multiple public safety efforts, including passing legislation to strengthen oversight of criminals on electronic monitoring. He also sponsored legislation to expand the partnership between Fishers Police and IMPD to track guns used to commit crimes. As a result, the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force has arrested hundreds of repeat violent offenders and seized hundreds of firearms used to commit crimes.
Voters can trust that Kyle Walker will not only reflect the priorities of the district, but that he also will be most effective in getting things done. Kyle has more than earned his first full term in Senate District 31.
