  1. Thank you President Biden. Someone needs to expose the oil companies for what they are. Everyone is entitled to make a profit, but not to take advantage of a bad situation and making the “regular” folks pay to put money in shareholder’s pockets and not re-investing it.

    1. Thank you President Biden for sending mixed-signals and not making our country energy independent.
Who gets to decide what profit a company should earn? Is it a dollar? is it a billion? Barbara and Joe should be in charge of dictating what is fair….

    2. Baloney, Barbara. Why does a senile old career politician who couldn’t survive a day in the free market have the right to say who is and who isn’t making a “fair” profit? If life was fair, our dementia-addled moron-in-chief Biden would be selling pencils on a street corner.

    3. Barbara–the only reason companies are making “record profits” right now is because the dollar is so pitifully weak. If they sold energy or all 1,000s of different petroleum-based products under the 2019 dollar, these companies would fail. And the dollar is pitifully weak because demand for energy didn’t decrease as much as the “great reset” command-economy wanted to impose on us during the grotesquely overblown pandemic (for which they are now seeking amnesty). And the constraint in supply that began almost as soon as a certain lecherous dotard who is NOT orange-tinted (unlike the one who is) sabotaged domestic production. And energy creates downstream effects. Ukraine didn’t help, but Ukraine was mere insult to injury.

The media that spins the nonsense in this article either assumes that many Americans are too dumb to understand the difference between profit and revenue (so they play fast and loose with the definitions), or the journos are too dumb to know the difference themselves. Probably a little of both.
