The National Football League has granted the Indianapolis Colts a second deadline extension to sell out Saturday's home playoff game in order to avoid a local television blackout.

The team now has until 4:35 p.m. Friday to reach a sellout to ensure its game against the Kansas City Chiefs will be televised in central Indiana.

The game at Lucas Oil Stadium is set to air at 4:30 p.m. Saturday on NBC affiliate WTHR-TV Channel 13.

The Colts said late Thursday afternoon that fewer than 3,500 tickets remain available, with prices varying from $56 to $155.

The NFL's blackout rule states teams must be sold out 72 hours in advance of each game’s kickoff time to have the contest broadcast on local television.

The Colts got a 24-hour extension to the blackout rule when they missed Wednesday afternoon's original deadline, but the team was still about 4,500 tickets short of a sellout late Thursday morning.
