Subscribe NowEvansville-based Old National Bancorp announced today that it has completed its $15.9 million acquisition of 65 Charter One retail branches in Indiana from Providence, R.I.-based Citizens Financial Group.
The deal was announced last November.
Most of the branches are in the Indianapolis area. Additional locations are in the Lafayette, Fort Wayne, Anderson and Bloomington markets. The majority are inside stores operated by Kroger, Marsh Supermarkets, Starbucks and Wal-Mart.
About 350 people work at the branches.
Old National now has more than 180 bank branches in Indiana, making it the state’s third-largest bank in terms of retail locations.
As of March 6, the deposits assumed by Old National through the transaction had a balance of about $428 million, the company said. Loans purchased by Old National totaled about $5 million.
