Culp, 38, came from DTZ, formerly Cassidy Turley, where she spent 10 years.
Founded in 2004, KSM Location Advisors is an entity of local accounting firm Katz Sapper & Miller LLP. The 12-person team is led by CEO Tim Cook. He’s also the partner-in-charge of Katz Sapper’s state and local tax group.
“The thought was to try and focus on expanding the national practice, because I’ve done a lot of that work in my prior time at DTZ,” Culp said.
During her 16-year career, she has secured more than $300 million in incentives for roughly 15 million square feet of office and industrial projects. Culp’s clients have ranged from small, private firms to Fortune 500 companies in 46 states.
Culp is a graduate of Indiana University and IU’s Kelley School of Business. She began her career at the city of Indianapolis during the tail end of former Mayor Steve Goldsmith’s tenure. In 2000, she became executive director of the Boone County Economic Development Corp. before joining Indy Partnership (now part of the Indy Chamber) in 2003 as director of economic development.
Katz Sapper is the area’s second-largest accounting firm based on number of employees, according to the most recent IBJ statistics.
